Lumix LX5

Lumix (Panasonic) recently announced the new Lumix LX5. I owned a LX3 for a couple of years now and I'm a big fan of that camera. It shoots amazing at low light and it's one camera I won't be replacing anytime soon. But, if you're in a market for a new semi-pro pocket shooter, its worth your while to take the new cam for a spin. It's a prefect camera for photo enthusisasts that captures pro quality images and the new model captures 720p high-definition vids.

The 10-megapixel Lumix LX5 nearly doubles the optical zoom range (3.8x, from 24mm to 91mm) of the LX3, and Panasonic's lightning-fast autofocus system has been added to the mix. It's the first camera in the LX series to offer the Sonic Speed AF focus system.

It should be dropping later this Fall.

Tim Burton’s Art Show

With the Toronto International Film Festival fast approaching, I found this interesting article about an exhibit coming to Toronto this winter.

The Museum of Modern Art in New York City had an exhibit of early artwork and the the exhibition charts the filmmaker's growth from his childhood in Burbank, Calif., to his current position as one of America's great artistic voices through artwork, personal papers and ephemera. Then it will travel to Melbourne and finally to the newly minted Bell Lightbox in Toronto, from Nov. 22, 2010, to April 27, 2011.

You can check out the MoMA online interactive show.
