Lumix (Panasonic) recently announced the new Lumix LX5. I owned a LX3 for a couple of years now and I’m a big fan of that camera. It shoots amazing at low light and it’s one camera I won’t be replacing anytime soon. But, if you’re in a market for a new semi-pro pocket shooter, its worth your while to take the new cam for a spin. It’s a prefect camera for photo enthusisasts that captures pro quality images and the new model captures 720p high-definition vids.
The 10-megapixel Lumix LX5 nearly doubles the optical zoom range (3.8x, from 24mm to 91mm) of the LX3, and Panasonic’s lightning-fast autofocus system has been added to the mix. It’s the first camera in the LX series to offer the Sonic Speed AF focus system.
It should be dropping later this Fall.
